Calgary's Carly Ahlstrom named to Team Canada for FIBA U18 Americas

Team Alberta alumnus Carly Ahlstrom has been to the team that will represent Canada at the upcoming FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championship.

The Calgary native will be making her international basketball debut at the tournament, which runs Aug. 1-7 in Mexico City. Canada is schedule to play Columbia on Aug. 1, El Selvador on Aug. 2, and the host team on Aug. 3. Quarter-Finals are scheduled for Aug. 5, followed by the Semifinals on Aug. 6 and Finals on Aug. 7.

A five-foot-eleven guard, Carly recently graduated from Centennial High School and is getting set to attend the University of Saskatchewan, where she will play Canada West basketball for the Huskies. Carly most recently suited up with Team Alberta last August at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.
