Teams and schedule announced for inaugural FIBA 3X3 Women's Series Edmonton
Schedules and teams have been announced for the inaugural FIBA 3X3 Women's Series event in Western Canada.
The Ice Palace at West Edmonton Mall will host what is the final stop on the 2019 FIBA 3X3 Women's Series tour on September 21 and 22 in Edmonton, where Team Canada will do battle with some of the world's very best teams.
Led by Alberta Basketball Association and Edmonton's own Katherine and Michelle Plouffe, Team Canada has finished first in its last three FIBA 3X3 Women's Series events to ascend to No. 2 in the FIBA 3X3 Women's Series rankings. They will be joined in competition at the Ice Palace by Poland, Czech Republic, USA, Spain and Italy, all which are ranked in the top 10.
Admission is free to the exciting two-day event, which will include the first-ever shootout competition in FIBA 3X3 Women's Series history as well as entertainment, and much more.
