Volunteer This Summer
Alberta Basketball has exciting events lined up this summer that we require volunteers for.
We begin with an amazing weekend of 3X3 Basketball, July 29-31st, filled with outdoor action and excitement. We are hosting the FIBA 3X3 Women’s Series and Edmonton Men’s Challenger Tournaments. We are looking for lots of enthusiastic volunteers to help us put on these great events in the downtown core of the city. These international events will see Women’s teams from: Canada, USA, France, Romania, Netherlands, Germany and Japan, and Men’s teams from: Netherlands, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Austria, USA, Poland, Canada, Germany.
August gets going with the Canada Basketball National Championships for the 15U/17U Boys on the 1st through the 6th at the Saville Centre on the south campus of the University of Alberta. All provinces from East to West will be here vying for the title of National Champion! Future NBA stars will be on the court! Last time these championships were here in 2013, RJ Barrett (New York Knicks) and Lu Dort (OKC Thunder) squared off in the 15U Championship game!
We need volunteers to assist with the set up/take down of the Sport Court, signage, merchandise, VIP and Player Lounges and ushers directing people to the seating around the court, and so much more!
Each volunteer will receive an event t-shirt, snacks and water during each shift. We'd love to have you join the team!
