Lynette Taal has coached at various levels for more than three decades, from junior high to high school in Drayton Valley, to club basketball and post-secondary in Lethbridge. An all-star guard as a player at the University of Lethbridge in the early 1980s, she went on to serve as an assistant coach at her alma matter from 1988 to 1999 and again from 2007 to 2011; Taal helped guide the Pronghorns to their first Canada West championship in 1993. She is a former board member of the Alberta Basketball Association, and since 2011 has held various positions with the Lethbridge Minor Basketball Association.
