ABA Alumni of the Week: Kitawna Sparks

SAIT Trojans women’s basketball forward Kitawna Sparks has been the named Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for the week of Feb. 2 to Feb. 8, 2026.

The Taber product scored 15 points and a grabbed a game-high 8 rebounds in SAIT’s 75-61 home victory over Ambrose University on Feb. 7. Sparks, who was on the court for 39 of the game’s 40 minutes, also recorded two assists and a pair of steals.

Through 16 games this season, Sparks is averaging 14.1 points and 8.7 rebounds. She recently surpassed 1,000 points for her career in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).

Sparks played for Team Alberta at the Canada Basketball National Championships in 2016 (15U) and 2018 (17U).
