ABA Alumni of the Week: Delaney Gibb

BYU Cougars women’s basketball player Delaney Gibb has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for March 23 – 29, 2026.

The Raymond native helped BYU advance in the 2026 Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament with a pair of monster performances. Against Missouri in the second round on March 22, she racked up 29 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals to lead the Cougars to a 93-75 victory. She then recorded 27 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal and 1 block as BYU beat Stanford 76-61 in the quarterfinals on March 29.

Gibb had a terrific sophomore season in 2025-26, earning selection to the All-Big 12 First Team after leading the Cougars in points, assists, and steals.

As a member of Team Alberta, Gibb won gold in female basketball at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. She also competed for Team Alberta at the 15U Girls Canada Basketball National Championships in 2019, receiving first team all-star honours.
