Feb. 24, 2019

The Alberta Basketball Association is pleased to have hosted the first Provincial Advisory Committee on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Leaders from all areas of the province and all sectors of the game spoke on current issues in order to gain a clearer understanding on how to work together to make the sport of basketball safer and better for all involved. Represented were officials, community leaders, club representatives, post secondary coaches, provincial coaching development directors, provincial team coaches and others.

"It was an inspiring group of dedicated people who sincerely want to see the game of basketball grow in the best way possible," ABA Executive Director, Paul Sir, stated. "Our province is fortunate to have the quality leaders who give their time and energy to better the sport in so many different ways. Collaborating with them is a privilege and great opportunity."

The next meeting will be held in Edmonton on March 16 during the 4A Provincial Championships.
