Senior Women's National Team visit Edmonton area schools

May. 28, 2019

It has been an exciting week for students at schools across the Greater Edmonton Area, as members of Basketball Canada's Senior Women's National Team have taken time from their training camp at the Saville Community Sports Centre to visit local schools.

On Monday, May 27, SWNT players came to Spruce Grove Comp and Balwin School. Then on Tuesday, May 28, members of Team Canada dropped by Victoria School.

The team will continue its special week of visits on Thursday, May 30, with trips to Archbishop Jordan MacNeil Catholic, and John Maland High School in Devon.

At each school appearance, the players have participated with students in on-court activities and drills, along with a classroom Q&A session, as well as signing autographs and posing for photos.

Thank you to the SWNT for being so generous with your time and continuing to inspire our youth!
