All around our province and beyond, the Alberta Basketball Association’s new Hoops @ Home program is being embraced as a source of positivity in difficult times.
Launched just a week ago, H@H has already proven popular with athletes, coaches, and families. The series of online videos, available exclusively on ABA’s YouTube channel, are geared towards building knowledge, skill development, physical activity, and fostering togetherness.
In light of H@H’s overwhelming and humbling success, ABA will be growing and evolving the program, with exciting new additions to come in the weeks ahead. Members from all facets of Alberta’s basketball community will be making special contributions, sharing their diverse experience, knowledge, and creativity in videos alongside those from ABA’s accomplished team, including world-class player Steve Sir, community mentor Ethan Sir, and award-winning coach Reagan Wood.
“Hoops @ Home is having the desired impact we hoped it would,” says Paul Sir, ABA’s Executive Director. “Thank you to all of the presenters for their great work and sincere efforts to help the viewers stay active and hopeful in these challenging days. We look forward to continuing to work together to get through this challenging time.”
