Jul. 07, 2020

The basketball community across Alberta again demonstrated its commitment to getting back to basketball and doing so responsibly during Alberta Basketball’s virtual Town Hall Meeting on July 7.

The meeting addressed Cohorts pertaining to Phase 3 of Return to Play Guidelines and included a Q&A, answering questions from among the 100 viewers partaking in the live meeting, and individuals who were able to submit advance questions via the ABA website.

“Following the success of our first Town Hall in June, we are thrilled to once more see such a great turnout and level of participation,” says ABA Executive Director Paul Sir. “We appreciate the valuable information and insight provided by the presenters, who are helping us move forward responsibility toward our ultimate goals around the game we love.

Speakers included Steven Patrick and Marvin Dobish, both whom are working in Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation with the Government of Alberta; along with lawyer and sport law expert Steven Indig from the Sport Law and Strategy Group. ABA executive director Paul Sir, program and events director Jef Bailey also addressed the Town Hall, which was moderated by Reagan Wood, Alberta Basketball’s Coach Education and Information Manager.
