With Albertans comprising three-quarters of its roster, the Canadian Women’s 3x3 team captured silver at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2022, which wrapped up Sunday (June 26) at Antwerp, Belgium.
Kacie Bosch (Lethbridge), Katherine Plouffe (Edmonton) and Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton) helped Canada win its first ever medal in either the men’s or women’s tournament at the leading 3x3 event for national teams. Paige Crozon of Humboldt, Sask., completed Canada’s four-player lineup.

Canada’s historic medal-winning 3x3 athletes will be in action on home soil in just over a month, when the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series takes place at Hawrelak Park in Edmonton on July 30 and 31 during the annual Heritage Festival.
The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series is part of this summer’s Hoopcity, Canada, festivities in Edmonton, which also features the FIBA 3x3 Challenger at Hawrelak Park July 31 - Aug. 1, and the Canada Basketball Boys 15U & 17U National Championships at the Saville Community Sports Centre Aug. 1-6
