St. Albert’s Arinn Young was part of Canada’s 2024 Paralympic women’s wheelchair basketball team, which also placed fourth, Canada’s highest finish in Paralympics women’s wheelchair basketball since 2004.

Reed De’Aeth of Sherwood Park and Chad Jassman of Medicine Hat were members of Canada’s 2024 Paralympic men’s wheelchair basketball team, which finished fourth, Canada’s best placing in men’s wheelchair basketball at the Paralympics since 2012.
France hosted the Paralympics from Aug. 28 to Sept. 28, 2024.
