Two alumni of Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) were honoured on Monday (Dec. 16) by their respective NCAA Division 1 basketball conferences.
Gonzaga forward Yvonne Ejim (Calgary) was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week while BYU guard Delaney Gibb (Raymond) was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week in recognition of their tremendous play over the prior seven days.

Ejim scored a season-high 28 points, shooting 11/16 from the field, while recording two steals to go with three rebounds and five assists to lead Gonzaga past Eastern Washington by a score of 79-50 on Dec. 14.

In a pair of wins for BYU, Gibb averaged 20 points per game while shooting .630 from the field. She scored a career-high 26 points while making 11 of 16 field-goal attempts on Dec. 13 against Washington State.
