Albertans Yvonne Ejim (Calgary), Delaney Gibb (Raymond), and Phillipina Kyei (Calgary) have been named to Canada’s roster for the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025, which is set to take place June 28-July 6 in Santiago, Chile.
The Albertan contingent makes up one-quarter of Team Canada, and are the most athletes from any province outside of Ontario on the Canadian roster.

Canada begins play in Group A with Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic and El Salvador. The top four teams in the group will then join the top four teams from Group B in the quarter-finals. All games will be streamed live on FIBA’s Courtside 1891.
The teams that finish in the top six at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025 will earn a spot in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup qualifying tournaments.
Ejim, Gibb and Kyei are all alumni of Alberta Basketball’s provincial team.
