Dec. 08, 2018

Calgary's Kyle Landry helped Canada's Senior Men's National Team qualify for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Kyle scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a 94-67 win over Brazil in Sao Paulo on Dec. 3. Canada improved to 8-2 in the FIBA Basketball 2019 World Cup Americas Qualifiers and officially clinched a berth at next summer’s World Cup.

Kyle has played in four of Canada’s Americas Qualifiers games, averaging 8.8 points and 5.3 rebounds, while shooting 69.6% from the field, which is tops among the 30 Canadians who have played at least twice in the Americas Qualifiers.

Canada has two games remaining in its Qualifiers schedule, Feb. 21 vs. Chile and Feb. 24 vs. Venezuela. Both contests will be played in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
