It's just about time for the second edition of the FIBA 3X3 Challenger at West Edmonton Mall's Ice Palace, and not onyl does it promises to be better than last year's spectacular debut event, the competition will be as elite as anywhere else in 2019.
Seven of the top 15 teams in the FIBA 3X3 World Tour standings will be taking part, including defending champs NY Harlem, perennial powerhouse Novi Sad, and homeown favourites Team Edmonton. Several countries from multiple continents are represented among the stacked field of 16 teams.
Admission is free all weekend long, Saturday September 28 and Sunday September 29. In addition to more than two dozen games over the two days, the event features many other exciting components, including the shootout featuring Edmonton's own Steve Sir, and a spectacular pole-vaulting showcase starring several world class Canadian athletes.
