Alberta's Yvonne Ejim receives multiple West Coast Confernce honours

Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) alum Yvonne Ejim of the Gonzaga Bulldogs was recognized when the West Coast Conference (WCC) announced its 2002 women’s basketball awards and honours on Wednesday (March 2).

The sophomore forward from Calgary was named the Sixth Woman of the Year along with being selected to the All-WCC Second Team.

Yvonne is averaging 9.9 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game and leads the Bulldogs with 44 steals.

Yvonne was part of Team Alberta at the Basketball Canada National Championships in 2016 (U15), 2018 and 2019 (U17), and represented her province at the 2017 Canada Summer Games.

Gonzaga is looking to punch its ticket to the 2022 NCAA Tournament and will next play on Monday (March 7) in the semi-final round of the WCC Tournament.
