Alberta's Haley Fedick is a U Sports National Champion

Apr. 18, 2022

Team Alberta alum Haley Fedick had an unforgettable first season playing university basketball, as she was part of the Rams women’s basketball team that won the U Sports National Championship.

The Rams defeated the Winnipeg Wesmen 70-48 in the U Sports Women’s Final 8 championship game on April 2 at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont., to capture the Bronze Baby for the first time and complete a perfect 21-0 season that also included winning the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) championship title.

A six-foot-two forward from Sherwood Park, Haley led the Rams this season in three-point shooting percentage, connecting on 41.7% of her shots from beyond the arc.

Haley was part of ABA programming for five years, representing Alberta at multiple competitions, including the Canada Basketball National Championships. She attended Jasper Place high school in Edmonton, where she played for the powerhouse Rebels girls’ basketball team.

Congratulations, Haley!
