Four Albertans, tying an all-time high for the province, have been selected to take part in the 2023 BioSteel All Canadian Basketball Games.
Delaney Gibb (Raymond) and Ify Nwaobi (Calgary) will play in the BioSteel All Canadian Girls Game while Bubu Benjamin (Medicine Hat) and Hudson Ward (Leduc) will suit up in the BioSteel All Canadian Boys Game, April 2 at the University of Toronto’s Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Both games will be broadcast live by TSN.
The BioSteel All Canadian Basketball Games feature the top 24 male and female Canadian high school basketball players who are either Canadian-born or enrolled in a Canadian institution. Participants spend three days in the Greater Toronto Area, where they work with Canadian coaches and trainers in a series of events including on-and-off court training, practices and scrimmages in front of NBA scouts and GMs, community outreach, and more.
“Delaney, Ify, Bubu, and Hudson are among the elite in the nation in their age group and ABA wants to extend a warm congratulations to all four athletes for this deserved opportunity,” says Paul Sir, ABA (Alberta Basketball Association They have developed in our province with the support of many who believe in them.
