Edmonton's Ben Krikke named to All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team
Edmonton native and ABA alum Ben Krikke of Valparaiso University was named to the 2022-23 All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team on Wednesday (March 1) after leading the league in scoring both overall (19.6 ppg) and in league play (21.0) during the regular season.
Krikke also ranked among the league leaders in rebounds per game (5.9, t-11th), field goal percentage (55.3, second), free-throw percentage (78.7, ninth) and blocked shots per game (0.9, ninth).
The 6-foot-9 forward was also named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team and to the MVC Most-Improved Team earlier in the week. He was the only player in 2022-23 to be named to the All-MVC First Team, MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team and MVC Most-Improved Team.
Krikke is a three-time all-MVC member, having been selected for the third team in both 2020-21 and 2021-22.
