The University of Alberta is hosting the 2024 U Spots Women’s Basketball Championships presented by The Westin Edmonton. This historic event will take place from March 7 to 10 at Saville Community Sports Centre.
In partnership with Basketball Alberta and Canada Basketball, the host organizing committee is running a free Coaches Clinic at 9 a.m. on March 8 at Saville Community Sports Centre. This clinic will feature experts in the fields of coaching, concussions and exercise science.
The clinic will feature a concussion return to sport session with Golden Bears & Pandas Head Athletic Therapist, Joan Mattews White along with a warm-up and cool-down session with Pandas Basketball assistant coaches and alumni Lauren Earl and Brianna Fehr. Attendees that register by Feb. 26 at 5pm MT will receive a free ticket to a tournament game of their choice (restricted to games on March 8 or 9).
Attendees will also be invited on a tour of the expansive sport facilities on the University of South Campus that are home to a number of Golden Bears and Pandas teams. Free will also be provided.
