On March 12, Caleb Jipp of the Saint Mary's Lightning was named the 2024 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Basketball Player of the Year.
Jipp, who hails from Calgary, was honoured at a gala in Sackville, N.B., where the 2024 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship are taking place from March 13-16.

The fourth-year guard led the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) for the 2023-24 season in points per game (25.7) and steals (52) en route to being named the ACAC men’s basketball North Player of the Year.
Additionally, Jipp was one of the three ACAC student-athletes named CCAA Men’s Basketball All Canadians, alongside forward Omeechi Williams of the Keyano Huskies and SAIT Trojans guard Marcus Masters.
