For the first time in their history, the Keyano Huskies of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) are Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) men’s basketball champions.
On Saturday (March 16), Keyano defeated the George Brown Huskies 68-55 in the gold medal game of the 2024 CCAA men’s basketball championships, which took place on the campus of Mount Allison University in Sackville, N.B.

Keyano’s men’s basketball roster includes a trio of players who have been involved with Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) programming: guard Ben Simmons of Fort McMurray along with forwards Josiah Aaron and Ater Majok, both of Edmonton.
The Huskies also won the ACAC men’s basketball title earlier this month. Keyano College is located in Fort McMurray.
