NWP hosts 2024 Wolves Basketball High School All-Star Game
The 2024 Wolves Basketball High School All-Star Game took place March 23 at Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) in Grande Prairie.
Top boys and girls players in Grade 10-12 from the Peace Region competed in a pair of exhibition games. Athletes were nominated by their high school coaches and selected to compete by coaches of the NWP Wolves men’s and women’s basketball teams.
In the girls game, Team Pink defeated Team Blue 42-33. Fairview’s Caira Stucklschwaiger and Worsley’s Kadence Hickey were each named Player of the Game.
Team Pink beat Team Blue 82-68 in the boys game. Player of Game honours went to Pierce Deditch from St. Joes in Grande Prairie and MJ Disistro from Grande Prairie Comp.
Prior to the games, participants joined Wolves coaches and players for a practice, as well as met with a NWP strength and conditioning coach and toured the campus.
