Krikke recently wrapped up a decorated NCAA Division 1 basketball career, which saw the Edmonton native spent his first four years at Valparaiso University in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) before playing in the Big Ten at the University of Iowa in 2023-24. His accolades include: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (2024), All-MVC First Team (2023), two-time All-MVC Third Team (2021, 2022), two-time MVC Most-Improved Team (2021, 2023) and three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team (2021, 2022, 2023).
“I am really excited to be back home in Edmonton and play for such an amazing organization,” Krikke said in a Stingers press release. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to play in such a great league and compete for a championship.”
Krikke spent four years with ABA’s provincial teams. He is a two-time all-star at the Canada Basketball National Championships (2016 15U Second Team and 2018 17U Second Team) and won a silver medal with Team Alberta at the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
The Edmonton Stingers open their 2024 season schedule with a road game against the Calgary Surge at Scotiabank Saddledome on May 21.
