Kia Nurse to serve as keynote speaker at Basketball Bridge coaching clinic

Canadian basketball star Kia Nurse of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks has been announced as keynote speaker for the Basketball Bridge coaching clinic at Paul Kane high school in St. Albert on Oct. 19.

 

The Edmonton Stingers and Basketball Alberta are teaming up to present the Basketball Bridge coaching clinic, which will feature the following clinic coaches:

  • Jordan Baker (head coach and general manager, Edmonton Stingers)
  • Adika Peter-McNeely (head coach, NAIT men’s basketball)
  • George Hoyt (assistant coach, Edmonton Stingers)
  • Kiera Lyons (head coach, NAIT women’s basketball)
  • Chris King (head coach, Lakeland women’s basketball)
  • Lauren Green (senior girls head coach and athletic director, Jasper Place high school)
  • Dave Oldham (senior girls assistant coach, Spruce Grove composite high school)
  • Slav Kornik (founder and lead coach, Climb Basketball)
  • Lindsay Piper (Registered Provisional Psychologist specializing in Sport Psychology, MindBuffs)
  • Danielle Ordyniec (Director of Performance Services, ARC by Pivotal)

Nurse is a three-time Olympian (2016, 2020, 2024), two-time NCAA Champion (2015, 2016), and one-time WNBA All-Star (2019). She recently completed her sixth WNBA season, with the Sparks, and represented Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics during the summer.
