Tarleton State men’s basketball sophomore guard Bubu Benjamin has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Dec. 2 - 8. 2024.

The Medicine Hat product scored an NCAA career high 29 points, while shooting 11/14 field goals, and chipping in with a game-high six assists, four rebounds, and three steals in the Texans’ 90-50 home victory over the Dallas Christian Crusaders on Dec. 3.
Benjamin also scored 13 points while shooting 5/7 field goals in a 66-51 loss for the Texans against the host UCF Knights in Orlando on Dec. 8.
For the 2024-25 season, Benjamin leads Tarleton State with an average of 17.2 points per game and a .556 field goal percentage. He also ranks first on the Texans in both three-pointers made and three-point percentage, shooting 22/44 from beyond the arc.
Benjamin played for the Alberta 15U boys team at the Canada Basketball National Championships in both 2018 and 2019, earning a second-team all-star selection in the latter year.
