A trio of Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) alumni will be representing their country at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2024 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from Dec. 12 to 15.
Steve Sir ((Edmonton) is part of the Canadian Men’s 3x3 Team while Kacie Bosch (Lethbridge) and Katherine Plouffe (Edmonton) are part of the Canadian Women’s National Team. The rosters were announced by Canada Basketball on Dec. 9.

Round-robin action at the 3x3 AmeriCup is set for Dec. 12, before quarter-final and medal round action concludes the event on Dec. 15. Follow all the action on the FIBA 3x3 website.
Sir is the highest ranked Canadian in the FIBA 3x3 Men’s Individual Rankings at No. 62. This is his second time competing in the 3x3 AmeriCup, after representing Canada at the inaugural event in 2021.
Bosch and Plouffe were part of the Canadian 3x3 Women’s Olympic Team that placed fourth at the Paris Summer Games. Plouffe is currently ranked third in the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Individual Ranking.
