Katherine Plouffe of Canada’s National Women’s 3x3 Team has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Dec. 9 - 15. 2024.
The Edmonton native helped Canada capture gold at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup, scoring the winning basket in overtime as Canada defeated the United States 19-18 in the championship final.

For the tournament, Plouffe led all players with an average of 7.8 rebounds per game and finished second to teammate Paige Crozon with an average of 7.2 points per game.
The veteran is now a two-time FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup champion, having also been part of Canada’s gold-medal winning team in 2022.
Plouffe won silver twice with Team Alberta at the Canada Basketball National Championship, 15U in 2007 and 17U in 2008. In 2009, she was a member of Alberta’s gold-medal women girls basketball team.
