BYU womenโs basketball freshman guard Delaney Gibb has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Dec. 16 - 22, 2024.
In BYUโs first Big 12 game of 2024-25, a narrow 57-54 loss to Arizona at home on Dec. 21, Gibb led her team with 23 points, eight rebounds, and three steals, while shooting 9/15 from the field, including 5/7 three-pointers.

Gibbโs performance against Arizona led to her receiving the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the third time this season, and second time in a row.
In 12 games this season, Gibb is averaging a team-leading 17.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.5 blocks. The Raymond product is shooting 48.7% on field goals and 40.7% from downtown.
Gibb helped Alberta win gold in female basketball at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. She also completed Team Alberta at the 15U Girls Canada Basketball National Championships in 2019, receiving first team all-star honours.
