ABA Alumni of the Week: Yvonne Ejim

Gonzaga women’s basketball senior forward Yvonne Ejim has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Dec. 23 - 29, 2024.

In a hard-fought 71-67 overtime loss to Oregon State on Dec. 28, Ejim led the Bulldogs with 22 points and 8 rebounds. She shot 10/20 from the field and made both her free-throw attempts against the Beavers.

The Calgary native has now scored in double-figures in 56 consecutive games, dating back to 2023. In 14 games this season, she is averaging 20.6 points and 8.2 rebounds with a field goal percentage of .556.

Ejim spent four years playing for Team Alberta, competing at the 15U Girls Canada Basketball National Championships in 2016, the Canada Summer Games in 2017, and the 17U Girls Canada Basketball National Championships in 2018 and 2019, winning silver at the latter.
