University of Calgary women’s basketball third-year guard Myriam Kone has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Jan. 6 - 12.
Kone helped the Dinos to a pair of road victories at the University of Winnipeg. On Jan. 10, she led all players with 22 points, eight rebounds and five steals as Calgary defeated the Wesmen 66-48. Kone then chipped in with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field while pulling down eight rebounds in a 76-44 win for the Dinos on Jan. 11.

Through the first 10 games of the Canada West season, Kone is scoring a team-high 16.8 points per game, while averaging 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 steals.
A native of Edmonton, Kone played for Team Alberta at the 2019 Canada Basketball 15U Girls National Championships.
