University of Lethbridge women’s basketball student-athlete Kyra Collier has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for Feb. 10 - Feb. 16.
The fourth-year guard scored a career-high 22 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and added 3 steals in the Pronghorns’ regular season finale, a 79-64 victory at home over the Winnipeg Wesmen on Feb. 15.
A native of Lethbridge, Collier averaged 11.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 20 games this season. She recorded 49 steals and 13 blocks, leading her team in both categories.
The Pronghorns finished 5th in the Prairie Division, with a record of 10-10, to qualify for the 2025 Canada West playoffs. Lethbridge faces Victoria in a single-elimination play-in game on Feb. 21.
Collier represented her province as a member of ABA’s 17U Girls team at the 2017 Canada Basketball National Championships in Regina.
