University of Alberta women’s basketball student-athlete Morgan Harris has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for March 3 - 9.
The fourth-year guard scored 16 points, dished out a team-high five assists to help the host Pandas defeat the UFV Cascades 83-63 in the Canada West bronze medal game at the Saville Community Sports Centre on March 7. She also recorded two steals and two blocks, the most of any player on either team.

With the victory, the Pandas qualified for the U Sports Final 8, which is set to take place at UBC in Vancouver from March 13 to 16. Alberta takes on Saskatchewan in the quarter-final round at 8 p.m. MDT on March 13.
Harris, who hails from Edmonton and attended St. Albert Catholic High School, was part of the ABA’s 15U Girls team in 2018 and 17U Girls Team in 2019. She helped Alberta capture silver at the 2019 Canada Baksetball National Championships in Victoria.
