ABA Alumni of the Week: Nyadieng Yiech

Nyadieng Yiech has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for April 7 - April 13, 2025.

The Calgary native suited up for Team World against Team USA at the 2025 Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Ore., on April 12. She scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and led her team with a plus/minus of 8.

In addition to competing at the Nike Hoop Summit, an annual showcase of the top young basketball talent around the globe, Yiech recently received the Girls High School Basketball Player of the Year award at the 2025 CWENCH All Canadian Game.

Yiech represented her province at the Canada Basketball 17U Girls National Championships twice, helping Team Alberta win bronze in 2022 and silver in 2023. She was also named a First Team All-Star at the 2023 National Championships.
