ABA Alumni of the Week: Olumide Adelodun

Olumide Adelodun has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for May 5 - May 11, 2025.

The six-foot-five guard made his professional basketball debut on May 11, helping his hometown Calgary Surge defeated the Edmonton Stingers 86-84 at Edmonton Expo Centre in the first game of the 2025 CEBL season. Adelodun scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out one assist in just under 12 minutes of action coming off the bench for Calgary.

A Calgary native, Adelodun signed with the Surge on April 14 after finishing his senior season of NCAA Division 1 men’s basketball at Niagara University. He averaged 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 31 games with the Purple Eagles in 2024-25.

Adelodun was part of ABA’s Calgary Boys Sr. Academy in 2019.
