ABA Alumni of the Week: Olivia Leung

Olivia Leung has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for July 7 - July 13.

The Calgary native helped Canada get off to a 2-0 start at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2025, which is running from July 12 to 20 in Czechia.

 

In Canada’s victory over Portugal on July 12, Leung scored 9 points on 3/5 shooting from three-point range, while chipping in 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. The five-foot-10 guard followed that up by scoring 13 points to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in Canada’s 113-42 triumph against Nigeria on July 13.

Leung helped Alberta capture silver at the 17U Girls Canada Basketball National Championships in 2023, when she was named a first-team all-star.
